Ascend volunteered at Charter oaks cultural center for Read it and Sleep night. Ascend was able to help the kids be excited and have fun at this amazing event. We look forward to continuing working with Charter Oak on future events.

Ascend partnered up with Aetna to volunteer for Journey homes cardboard city sleep out. The youth learned about the struggles of people who are homeless in Hartford and what they could do to help make a difference.

Ascend started August off with a trip to Six Flags! The youth have been putting in hard work from the end of June and all of July to work up to this trip. The day was full of screams, laughter, and determination to face fears.
